Her scientific research focusses on the use of technology for objective evaluation of physical ability and technology enriched environments in the context of musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Remco Baggen is researcher/coordinator for the Limburg Clinical Research Center platform for assistive technology at Hasselt University. He is specialized in innovative technologies for evaluation, prevention, monitoring, and physical support in the context of musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Anouk Agten

Anouk Agten is dr. Assistent of musculoskeletal rehabilitation at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. Her scientific research focusses on macroscopic and microscopic evaluation of structural and functional characteristics of skeletal muscle tissue, respectively using 3D-ultrasound and muscle biopsies.

Frank Vandenabeele

Frank Vandanabeele is senior lecturer of musculoskeletal rehabilitation at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. Ilse Lamers

Ilse Lamers is researcher and lecturer of neurological rehabilitation at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. Her scientific research focusses on evaluation and rehabilitation of arm and hand function in individuals with neurological afflictions (multiple sclerosis and cerebrovascular incidents).

Joke Spildooren

Joke Spildooren is researcher and lecturer of geriatric rehabilitation at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. Her scientific research focusses on the influence of vestibular disorders on fall risk in older adults and training approaches for frail older adults.

Katleen Bogaerts

Katleen Bogaerts is lecturer of health psychology at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. She is also a guest professor at the research group of health psychology (KU Leuven) and is founders and CEO of Tumi Therapeutics, a multidisciplinary center of expertise for prevention, diagnostics and treatment of stress-related disorders and medically inexplicable physical complaints. Her scientific research focusses on stress, burn-out, chronic fatigue and pain, with a specific focus on stress-physiological measurements, biofeedback and E-health applications.

Liesbet De Baets

Liesbet De Baets is researcher and lecturer of musculoskeletal rehabilitation at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. Her scientific research focusses on objective evaluation of movement in the context of musculoskeletal afflictions of the upper limb and the interaction between bio-psycho-social factors associated with musculoskeletal pain at the shoulder joint.

Peter Feys

Peter Feys is senior lecturer at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. Her scientific research focusses on the use of technology for objective evaluation of physical ability and technology enriched environments in the context of neurological rehabilitation in adults. Examples include virtual learning environments for upper limb training, tablet-based testing and learning environments for cognitive-motor interference, quantification of stride patterns and walking ability in the home environment.

He lectures in for the educational tracts ‘Rehabilitation Sciences and Physical Therapy’ and ‘Ergotherapeutic Sciences’.

Valentin Schroyen

Valentin Schroyen is senior lecturer at the faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences of Hasselt University. He combines his work as an independent physical therapist with the position of practice coordinator within the educational program of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physical Therapy. Within the Scientific Society of Flemish Physical Therapists and Pro-Q-Kine, he is involved in several projects regarding promotion and quality of physical therapy.
